this painting came through at a time when i felt lost in an ocean of fear and love and old patterns of relating... I had made the decision to dive all-in to love with another person and i had lost sight of the shore. the only thing keeping me grounded was painting and water. immersing myself all in, every day. swimming, treading water, dancing with the waves, the sparkles, crying - i am anonymous in water, shapes distorted, tears indiscernible, cap and goggles obscuring my face. swimming is necessary for my well being. love in the frequency of swimming. no matter how tumultuous, deep, dark, murky, turbulent – water always feels safe to me. i know how to be in water. in this rough sea i am wearing a cat hat suit, there seems to be a prehistoric sea creature with me and some kind of alien information pod ascending.
