Terabithia is a fictional, magical land created by two best friends, in the book Bridge to Terabithia. It was the first chapter book I ever read as a young teen and the first time I had found myself reflected in the characters of a book. As always, I showed up at the canvas with flashe vinyl paint, brushes, a graphite stick, and a whole lot of water and ache. Once the painting was done, I recognized it as Terabithia. It was incredibly moving for me when I saw what I had painted because (spoiler alert) at the time, I was also grieving the loss of my best friend.
